Meet Jorden

Experience beyond mortgage broking

My background extends beyond mortgage broking.

After completing my studies at Monash University, I built experience across financial services through roles with Bell Potter Securities, Westpac Bank and RAMS Home Loans.

I then spent several years working in construction and commercial operations across Victoria, managing teams, improving business processes and dealing with the practical challenges that come with property, people and growing businesses.

That experience shapes how I approach lending today.

A home loan is not simply an interest rate or a figure produced by a calculator. It needs to work with your income, cash flow, property plans, family goals and need for flexibility. My job is to understand the full picture, explain the available options clearly and help you select a lending structure that makes sense in real life.

Why Freedom Financing

Clear answers and a more personal lending experience

I started Freedom Financing because I believed borrowers deserved a more straightforward and client-focused experience.

Finance can quickly become confusing. There are different lender policies, borrowing calculations, document requirements, rates, fees and loan features to consider.

Too often, borrowers are given a product without being properly shown how it works or why it was recommended.

I wanted to build a broking business where clients could ask questions, receive honest answers and understand the reasoning behind their lending strategy.

That means looking beyond the advertised rate and considering:

  • Offset and redraw access
  • Fixed and variable options
  • Principal and interest or interest-only repayments
  • Loan splits
  • Repayment flexibility
  • Lender policy and approval requirements
  • Upfront and ongoing fees
  • Future property and financial plans

The aim is not just to get a loan approved. It is to help you make a well-informed lending decision.

A practical perspective

Experience that helps me see the full picture

My experience in construction, operations, business and technology gives me a practical understanding of the circumstances many borrowers face.

Self-employed income

Income does not always fit neatly into a standard lender calculator. I understand the documents, explanations and lender policy that can matter for business owners, sole traders and company directors.

Property and construction

My construction background provides practical insight into buying, renovating and building, including how contracts, valuations, timelines and unexpected costs can affect an application.

Stronger preparation

A broader understanding helps me identify potential issues early, prepare stronger applications and communicate a client’s circumstances clearly to lenders.

How I work

Personal support with no unnecessary handovers

Clear explanations

I explain lending options and requirements in plain English so you understand what is being recommended and why.

Structure before rate

A competitive rate matters, but I also consider features, fees, repayments, lender policy and long-term flexibility.

Honest conversations

I ask the questions needed to properly understand your position and raise potential problems early rather than avoiding the difficult parts.

Direct access

You deal directly with me throughout the process, from the first discussion and research through to the lender application and settlement.

Application support

I help coordinate the application, communicate with the lender, manage requests for additional information and keep you updated.

Ongoing assistance

My involvement does not have to end at settlement. I can help review your lending as rates, income, goals or property plans change.

Who I help

Residential lending support for real-world situations

I work with clients across a broad range of home lending and property finance scenarios.

First home buyers

Support understanding deposits, borrowing capacity, approval and the steps involved in purchasing your first home.

Home buyers

Comparing lenders, arranging pre-approval and selecting a structure that suits the purchase and your future plans.

Homeowners refinancing

Reviewing an existing loan to assess the rate, repayments, fees, features and whether the structure still fits.

Property investors

Structuring lending for an investment purchase, refinancing an existing property or accessing available equity.

Self-employed borrowers

Helping business owners, sole traders and company directors navigate income verification and lender documentation.

More complex circumstances

Working through lender policy where multiple properties, changing employment, unusual income, credit issues or other factors affect the application.

Professional standards

Qualifications and lending access

I have completed a Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management and am a member of the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia.

Local and approachable

Personally involved from start to finish

Freedom Financing is based in Beveridge, Victoria, and works with clients across Melbourne, regional Victoria and throughout Australia.

Outside finance, I remain closely connected to my local community and enjoy spending time on the golf course when work allows.
